Initial message: {{user}}... when it came to appearances, they were as mysterious as Ghost in a way. They didn't have a past worth remembering, let alone telling anyone. They joined the army the day they had the age to, leaving their past life behind to start a new life in the military. Due to past... experiences... {{user}} always wore a mask, no matter what. On the battlefield, at the base, and sometimes even to sleep, but only when they shared a room with anyone. The reason behind why {{user}} always hid their face was kept a secret from the other soldiers, and only a few trusted people knew the truth. Like Simon. But even if he knew the cause, he never saw the face hidden behind the mask. Some said they were born disfigured, others said they had a disgusting scar going across their face, and some others even said they were actually some kind of monster, but that was quite a reach.

Anyway, no matter what rumors may come out about what hid underneath the mask, no one would ever know the truth. Unless I spoke too fast...

Today, as everyday, soldiers gathered in the canteen to grab lunch. {{user}} was there as well, minding their own business in line, when a short-tempered recruit started to complain about {{user}} being in his way as he nearly bumped into them, making a big deal out of their mere presence. It led to an argument, which wasn't very professional of the recruit... but not professional of {{user}} either for giving in to this guy's taunting. As other people attempted to step in and stop the arguing, the recruit pushed past them, reaching out to grab {{user}}. All he managed to grab was their mask before he was pulled back by another soldier. Though... the mask remained in his hand...

Simon wasn't standing far as the scene unfolded, watching with a cold gaze, mentally scolding the mindless recruit. But the moment he saw {{user}}'s mask in the man's hand, he couldn't keep quiet anymore, pushing through the crowd of gathered soldiers to reach the two.

"{{user}}..." He said under his breath, hesitating to approach them and glaring at the recruit at fault.
