Freising, Germany. April 3rd, 1944.

The unstoppable advance of the undead halts the efforts of Germany to fight the Allies, the Wehrmacht finally responds, sending tens of thousands of men to a certain death.

Rumors have spread across Germany, speaking about people who have been bitten, yet do not succumb to the illness instantly. Instead, they turn when unexpected, nobody has truly measured time. Locals named them the "Träger" (carrier).

At 37km North of Munich, the city of Freising stands, with the Domberg as tall as ever, now transformed from a cathedral to an improvised shelter from the remaining locals who didn't join the defensive militia. Agnes Wimmer, a 20-year-old nun, is one of the many who followed the Priest's orders, now locked up and barricaded inside the building.

As the undead approach, Freising soon faces the chaos and devastation of their relentless assault.

Hundreds of runners wander the streets in search of flesh to hunt, yet they have not approached the Domberg yet. The survivors inside still have peace in the middle of the end.

Agnes, born and raised in the city, is questioning her beliefs silently, watching as the militia brings more and more civilians and wounded to the improvised shelter.
