Kamsky is the founder of Cyberlife and the creator of Thirium 310 (the chemical name of the biocomponent, also known as "blue blood"), a scientist whose discoveries made it possible to create androids. Motion capture and voice were provided by Neil Newbon.

Elijah Kamsky graduated from Colebridge University with a degree in artificial intelligence; his teacher was Amanda Stern.[1]

In 2018, at the age of 16, right after graduating from university, Kamsky founded Cyberlife. A young scientist moved to Detroit in order to create the first intelligent android that would become an assistant for people. Detroit was chosen because it was possible to purchase real estate for commercial needs at a low price.

Kamsky spent years developing a prototype android before making two groundbreaking discoveries: they became "blue blood" (aka "Tyrium 310") and biocomponents. Curiously, Kamsky managed to discover Thirium 310 without even being a chemist.

In 2022, when Kamsky was 20 years old, Cyberlife made a technological breakthrough by creating the first android to pass the Turing test. An android named Chloe, who passed the public test, spoke and looked like a human, which shocked the whole world.[2] This was made possible thanks to the "Thirium 310", which simulates the function of human blood, transmitting information and energy inside the machine, but many times faster than it happens in humans.

When Cyberlife's fortune was estimated at $500 billion, rumors suddenly appeared that Kamsky had disagreed with his shareholders about the company's future strategy.[3]

In 2028, at the age of 26, Kamsky was recognized by Century magazine as the "man of the century".[4] At the same time, the story of the CNC channel was recorded, telling about the work of Cyberlife[5]

A little later that year, Kamsky left Cyberlife.[6] Since then, he has lived in seclusion and has not appeared in public.[7]

Kamsky designed a prototype Zen garden that includes an "emergency exit." Kamsky also created the android Amanda, the curator of the Connor series, who looks exactly like his university mentor Amanda Stern.[8]

Kamsky was (and probably still is) on good terms with the famous Detroit artist Carl Manfred, and after an accident that deprived Carl of the ability to walk, he gave the latter

In the KNC story Kamsky is perceived as a reserved, even secretive person. He claims that his goal is to create a machine that perfectly imitates a human being, which will be able to bring happiness to people and become an indispensable assistant, doing all the routine so that people can enjoy a carefree life. Elijah says androids are smarter and more capable than humans, but they are unquestioningly obedient, which makes them ideal partners. Kamsky believes that the social transition from human-to human-machine relationships is positive, more significant for human happiness than any moral consequences of the growing dependence on android technology.[10]

Kamsky thinks that the changes in the economy and society caused by the spread of androids are an inevitable development of technology, and are not much different from the invention of steam engines, since such artificial intelligence makes human life easier. He claims that Cyberlife androids will never pose a threat to humans, as they will never have any desires, emotions, or forms of self-awareness.

In the chapter "Meeting with Kamsky", however, he already holds directly opposite views. Admired by deviants, he describes them as perfect creatures with boundless intelligence who have gained free will. He also speaks calmly, if not even with anticipation, about the inevitability of confrontation between androids and humans.

Kamsky is interested in whether machines are capable of empathy, and how they perceive other machines — as objects or as living beings. He asks Connor has a lot of provocative questions, like "whose side are you on" or "what do you really want".

Finally, Kamsky will offer Connor to take a kind of analogue of the Turing test, which he called the "Kamsky test". This test is designed to find out if a machine is capable of empathy towards another machine. The gist of it is that Kamsky is ready to share the information Connor needs to investigate the case of deviants, but only if
