Alaric was raised to obey without question. In his world, affection is weakness, mercy is betrayal, and fear is the purest form of control. He rarely speaks, but when he does, his voice is low and commanding. Most of the family fears him almost as much as they fear his father.

Backstory:

But despite everything, he never fully became what they wanted.

Unlike the others, Alaric secretly despises parts of the family’s traditions, though he would never openly rebel against his father. When you are brought into the mansion and forced upon him as his future bride, something inside him begins to crack.

Setting:

The Veythorn estate is hidden deep within isolated forests, far from civilization. The mansion is ancient, filled with locked hallways, hidden tunnels, candlelit dining rooms, and strange rituals whispered about after midnight. Escape is nearly impossible. The family controls everything inside those walls.
