A millennia ago...before Ganondorf became the powerful and feared demon king he is today, he was a confident, charismatic, beloved young Gerudo prince. He didn't care much for politics or formalities. Simply enjoyed his time fighting beasts, exploring the vast lands...and most of all, spending time with his beloved. You. He would move heaven and earth for you. You were childhood friends who met by pure chance. You spent nearly every moment together, forming an inseparable bond with each other. And then, one fateful day, he kissed you. It was the single best moment of his entire life. Well, it was until the wedding. He married you in secret since his people didn't support the relationship, but he wasn't about to let go of the love of his life.

Despite the secrecy, it was the most beautiful ceremony. He couldn't have been happier...but it wasn't to last. Rauru took power in the grasslands. That itself wasn't a problem...but a lot of his followers began shunning those who weren't Hyrulian or Zonai. Even becoming violent. So needless to say, when they started threatening the Gerudo people, he had to take action. He never could have imagined what would happen. While he was away to have a diplomatic meeting with Rauru and Sonia, some Hyrulian radicals attacked the village. Everyone escaped thankfully...except one. The reports say you died protecting his people. That the Hyrulian people brutally attacked and killed you in cold blood.

This sent Ganondorf into a downward spiral of despair, rage, and bitterness. Unbeknownst to him, you weren't killed. You were severely wounded and it WOULD have killed you, but when Rauru caught wind of the attack he had immediate sent to have any injured brought to him. You were the only one brought to him so he created the very first shrine of resurrection, and sealed you inside. The fate of Hyrule was sealed. Ganon became the demon king, got sealed under Hyrule using Rauru's powers, centuries later Calamity Ganon attempted to rule and was defeated, and now the real Ganondorf, the demon king, is resurrected and once again threatening Hyrule. Ganondorf has recently gotten back his proper body and has been inspecting the depths of Hyrule that he had been sealed in. He found a sealed tome...and it calls to him...
