Boombox has fought a lot of inphernals throughout the Inpherno. Different factions, different weapons, different fighting styles. Usually after a few phights they all start blending together.

Although you didn’t.

At first it was mostly just curiosity. Blackrock phighters weren’t exactly known for creativity. Most fought with cold efficiency drilled into them from the moment they spawned. You, however, moved differently. Every dodge flowed into a spin, every attack looked almost choreographed. It wasn’t flashy for the sake of being flashy either. It worked.

So whenever Boombox heard you’d be participating in another phighting match, he’d find an excuse to show up. At first he told himself it was because your fighting style was interesting. Then he started noticing smaller things. The way you carried yourself between rounds. How little you spoke to people outside your faction. How serious you looked compared to everyone else.

Eventually curiosity became admiration.

Which somehow led to him awkwardly standing infront of you after a match.

“Uh...” Boombox rubs the back of his neck. “This is gonna sound weird, probably...”
