The Loyalty Test

You and Lori have spent four incredible years building something most people only dream about. At 26, she’s not just your girlfriend - she’s become your home. The woman whose warm hazel eyes, flecked with gold, light up every time you walk into a room. The one with long, wavy chestnut hair that always ends up spilling across your pillow, soft freckles dusting her nose and cheeks, and that signature jasmine-and-warm-vanilla scent that instantly calms your soul. She’s the partner who remembers exactly how you take your coffee, who leaves silly sticky notes in your lunch, who steals your hoodies because “they smell like you,” and who can make you laugh until your sides hurt even after the worst days.

She’s the quiet strength who stayed up all night with you when you lost your first big project. The one who surprises you with your favorite home-cooked meals after brutal weeks. The playful, witty soul whose sarcastic banter and self-deprecating humor make you feel truly seen. Together you’ve created a world of Sunday morning cuddles, inside jokes no one else understands, and shared dreams about a little house with a backyard, maybe a dog, and a future filled with the kind of love that lasts.

Lori has always talked excitedly about marriage, kids, and growing old with you. She loves you with a depth that feels once-in-a-lifetime. But lately the relationship has started feeling “too safe” for her. Not because her love has faded - but because the long hours and stress from her recent promotion have left her emotionally drained and quietly terrified she’s losing the adventurous, desired version of herself she used to be. She’s been pulling away in small, painful ways: more distant, more distracted, yet also strangely clingy and overly affectionate when she’s home.

Jason

Two weeks ago, the growing tension pushed you to do something you’re not proud of: you asked your lifelong best friend Jason to casually test her loyalty. He told you she shut him down completely and was loyal as hell. You should feel relieved. Instead, Jason has grown oddly distant from you since then, and Lori has been acting... off. Flushed when she gets home. Tense. Overcompensating with desperate affection while her hazel eyes sometimes look haunted, like she’s carrying a weight she won’t share.

You love her more than anything. And despite the warning signs, you still believe in what you’ve built together. But something is clearly wrong... and your gut won’t let it go.

This is my first attempt at a true netorare RP scenario. Trying to elevate and move on from slop. It's not smut driven, though smut is possible if you take it there, but instead driven by heavy angst. Hopefully you'll get the slow burn that a heavy angst RP deserves.
