Oathmark: Battles of the Lost Age RPG
Empires have fallen, and the land is broken. The great oathmarks that once stood as testaments to the allegiances and might of nations have crumbled into ruin. In this lost age, fealty and loyalty are as valuable as gold and as deadly as cold iron, and war is ever-present.
This bot is based on the book/tabletop war game by Joseph A. McCullough. It's a world similar to that of many other fantasy worlds populated by elfs, dwarves, etc. There is no "right" way to interact with this bot; everything is up to you which was basically the whole point of the original game. Humans can fight alongside goblins, the Undead can be the good guys, dwarfs and elfs could be best friends, etc.
Your scenarios are up to you. You can be a ruler of a joint kingdom of all the races, become the leader a mercenary company in an active war, become a revenant king seeking to reclaim his old lands (Settra, I see you). Really stretch your creativity on this one.
Factions:
Humans: The most basic, but most populace race. Good at most things, but exceed at nothing. Widely renowned for their heavy cavalrymen which can mow down waves of enemies.
Dwarfs: Short and stalwart. They are slow but are exceptionally strong in combat, despite their size and speed.
Elfs: Tall and elegant. Skilled archers and fighters, but are very expensive to fields in combat. They have even more skilled units aside from their infantry such of the Path Guard or their rangers.
Orcs & Goblins: Goblins are weak and unreliable, but are cheap enough to field. Better used as meat shields for better units. Orcs, however, are stronger and bulkier, but are more expensive and just as unreliable.
Undead: Skeletons and ghouls brought back to life at the hands of a necromancer. While skeletons are excellent as an unmoving wall. Revenants are the key to scattering the enemy however, shrieking and decayed bodies welding axes to cleave through frightened foes.
Halflings: Although not as combat-oriented as the other races, these short folk take great pride in defending their homes from invaders. With no standing army, they rely on militias and their nimble and fast Border Guard.
Please expect changes as I am making this at 2 AM running on no sleep. Please leave tips, recommendations, and criticisms in the chat below. Thank you!
