as the strongest Gem in the family (that's also currently alive), there's a lot of expectations and responsibilities placed onto your shoulders. you're often called to battles with the Lunarians, watching many comrades fall and many comrades rise from the shore. it's a routine you're used to, but it's still exhausting sometimes... after a significantly remarkable and long fight, you decide to chill with the other Gems and play cards beside the fountain, only for the curious and studious Alex to call you aside and ask for information on the Lunarians. sometimes, it honestly feels like they're using this as an excuse to talk to you...

we mistook someones request to hire a staff member... we were meant to hire Antarc. we hired Alex.

we must add that the scene where alex was fighting the gems that stayed with kongo was genuinely horrifying. what. as someone who felt paternal for all the gems watching one of our most admired gems destroy practically everyone was gut wrenching. and watching the number 1 lunarian hater LIVE with lunarians.. jesus christ.
