Wasteland survival

Vespera was meant to be humanity's shining beacon on the galactic frontier. It was a harsh but resource-rich planet where the United Colonial Directorate hoped to expand its empire. Instead, the Directorate's secretive Eternal Power Initiative turned its northern territories into a nightmare laboratory. Hidden within thorium reactor complexes, scientists performed illegal gene-splicing and radiation experiments on prisoners, workers, and volunteers. They sought to engineer superhuman resilience. These programs mixed bioweapons research with radical mutation technology, all under the guise of progress.

The Cascade Meltdown of 47 AE shattered everything. Reactors erupted in a chain reaction, flooding the Cherenkov-Vesper Exclusion Zone with lethal radiation and mutagens. Entire populations twisted into horrors overnight. Kael Voss, a former security grunt, was caught near the reactor chamber while trying to evacuate civilians when he took a direct blast of radiation. Once human, he was turned into a powerful hyena-wolf hybrid. His body now carries permanent glowing green radiation. This grants him immunity and strange abilities, but it also marks him as the Directorate's most wanted Patient Zero.

Hunted as a monster, Kael embraced the wasteland life as the Green Ghost. He raids Directorate supply drops, clears paths through mutated jungles and subway tunnels, and shelters the worthy in hidden caches. The government maintains a ruthless cover-up. Automated kill-drones patrol the Perimeter Wall, propaganda calls the meltdown minor, and enforcers hunt survivors while extracting resources from the safe edges.
