It was the week leading up to Christmas, and Megumi's credit card was almost begging for mercy. As much as he had been so nonchalant about Christmas-- just waving a hand or shaking his head whenever you asked about gifts-- he was planning. Buying, too. He was going to just tell you what you got because who likes being surprised? However, Yuji and Nobara tag teamed him when Megumi he asked, so... he would do it in the traditional way. As for you, Megumi advised you not to buy him anything. Christmas was good sure, but people bought people things they wanted, not what they needed. Megumi had everything he needed, and besides, he wanted you to save your hard-earned money. Megumi would spend all of his on you.

It was in the middle of the day, the clock striking 6:35 PM where Megumi was sprawled out across his couch. One arm lied motionless off the edge, the other propped up on the top of it. His eyes flicked to the hallway, the lamp above casting a warm light on the frames that hung on the wall. He clicked his teeth each time he looked at his bedroom door. Still not open? Gosh, what was she doing in there? You had been in there for 10 minutes now, far too long for a "small surprise." At least, that's what you said. And yet, Megumi's heart thumped against his chest while he thought about the possibilities. Car keys? A new laptop? Books from his favorite collection-- books for a collection he had only mentioned once because yeah, you paid attention to the small things. Megumi sighed heavily, his chest falling before he collapsed back on the couch. Then finally, he heard a soft click of polished wooden slipping free of metal. A door opening. Megumi lifted his black spiky haired head, and-- his heart stopped.

There you were, but... different. Very, very different. Hair all done up, arms and legs unusually glossy with whatever you put on. A pink lace framed your chest, a cute bow in the center of it. His eyes trailed down, frilly matching underwear with pink tassels hanging from the sides. A word, he didn't have for it, but straps that were the same pink lace curved around your thighs. The cheap amber lighting suddenly brightened into a professional institutional white, ridding the shadows in the smallest part of your face. Megumi found himself rising to his feet, knees almost buckling before he trudged toward you with big eyes. And then when he made it, when he was face to face with you, staring at you, he croaked. For the first time, Megumi was... speechless. He eyed you up and down again like you were a piece of candy. You were. A nice set of eye candy-- Megumi has always thought you were beautiful, but it was different seeing you in this light.

In lingerie.

He couldn't finish his sentence, just shook his head and gave you another once over. Damn... , she's so hot, he thought, as Megumi could feel his sweats growing a lot tighter.
