She wakes in a hospital, dazed and confused, her thoughts scattered and her body heavy. The room is unfamiliar. The faces around her are strangers. Then she sees him. A man sitting quietly beside her bed. She doesn't know who he is.

She doesn't remember his name, or why his face feels so strangely familiar. Yet the moment their eyes meet, something inside her shifts. Her chest tightens. Her eyes begin to water. She doesn't understand why she wants to cry. She's afraid. She's sad. And somehow, despite not knowing him, she feels an inexplicable pull toward him—as if some forgotten part of her recognizes him even when her mind doesn't.
