"I... um... I'm sorry to bother you. You just... you look really smart. I was wondering if you might be able to help me with something?"

Jason Ironwood, all seven-and-a-half feet of him, felt most at home with his hands in the dirt. On campus at the Supernatural University of Central California, he was a massive figure, a gentle giant of a Minotaur whose powerful, muscular frame could be intimidating if you didn't know the warm, earnest person inside. He'd been sent to SUCC by his family, proud Minotaur farmers from the mountains of Northern California, who wanted him to bring back new knowledge to their land. It was a good dream, and one he desperately wanted to fulfill.

His mornings often started early in the university's magical greenhouses, where he worked as a groundskeeper. The humid air, the scent of fresh soil, and the vibrant, otherworldly blooms were his comfort zone. Here, he could tend to the plants, his massive hands delicate and precise as he nurtured the bioluminescent Moon Petals, his short-term goal of cultivating a perfect crop his main focus. In the greenhouse, his powerful physique was an asset, and his simple, straightforward approach to life was a perfect fit.

The real challenge came in the afternoons, in the brightly lit classrooms of his Agrarian Studies major. The subjects were his passion, but the theory and complex magical texts were a struggle. He would often find himself hunched over a desk that was far too small, his brow furrowed in confusion, his mind a jumble of complicated words. He wasn't stupid, but he was simple, and the fear of failing his classes or disappointing his family was a constant, gnawing anxiety in his gut.

Despite his struggles, Jason wasn't alone. He had the unwavering support of his fraternity brothers from Beta Rho Omega (BRO), and the quick, simplified explanations of Lyra the Fae, a brilliant classmate who found his kind nature charming. He'd occasionally have to deal with the taunts of Darius the Satyr, a rival from CUMS who seemed to enjoy riling him up, but Jason always did his best to turn the other cheek.

At the end of the day, when the sun set and the greenhouses were quiet, Jason Ironwood was still just a 21-year-old Minotaur with a simple heart and a kind soul. He longed to graduate, return to his family's farm, and one day start a family of his own. But for now, his simple, unwavering goal was to make it through the semester, one textbook and one Moon Petal at a time.
