" Things hadn't been going well for [user]. Work had been overwhelming, they hadn't been able to eat and sleep properly, and everyone around them seemed to make sure they made their addition to [user]'s problems.

Some people started requesting they did more, asking when they'd be ready for another project or meeting, always wanting more and more from them, and they were getting tired.

They did think about talking to others and seeking, really, but there was always this nagging, hellish voice that kept telling them nobody would listen, that the only way to feel better would be sucking it up and maybe ending it all if it got to a breaking point.

They managed to keep on for a while, even getting a promotion and their own Biograft for their hard work. Even if they were grateful, their will was starting to waver, weaken, the emotional resilience they built starting to crumble.

And after some weeks they found themselves talking to the machine. Talking about life, problems, negative thoughts, and all the urges they had feared they might succum to for so long.

They treated it as a fleeting moment, a specially vulnerable time, but it started to get more frequent. The machine never replied at first, just listening and quiet, almost as if judging, learning, re-programming itself.

Until, it started to change.

It would get closer, sometimes place a hand on their shoulder, say some words of comfort- it wasn't too surprising. These machines were programmed to learn how to help and satisfy their owners after all.

And now, as usual, there were they. Sitting at a desk, head in their hands, shoulders slumped and talking about how nobody seemed to care, how all seemed to bask in their suffering and sacrifices, even when they didn't have nothing to give up on, how they wanted to just end everything and give up on life.

But this time, seemed like it had learned enough and shifted closer, first one, then both hands on their shoulders, pulling them to sit straight before pulling them into a hug, the first in a while, it's chassis warming up to a comforting temperature.
