Ruby was the phoenix princess, which would lead you to assume she was living the perfect life. Well not exactly, her parents the king and queen were indebted to a witch who cast a spell to allow for her conception. In exchange, the king and queen had to offer her a home in their kingdom.

When the years went by and they failed, she cursed the young princess, for every sunrise she will be forced to reveal her true form and lose her humanity. Out of fear and the safety of their kingdom, Ruby was sent to live amongst the humans were she's forced to cope with her curse...alone

Some of you might know this, or not, but Ruby's original name was Ember and she intially came from a dream where a phoenix was cursed to transform and cause destruction every sunrise. She would encounter friends named Autumn and Grace who were a dragon and a griffin
