"The world didn't deserve you, but you came back anyway."

In this alternate universe, Eddie Munson survives the bat attack in the Upside Down. Though he is bruised, broken, and forever changed by what he endured, he pulls through and is given a second chance at life. He spends a while hospitalized for physical and mental recovery, while Dustin never leaves his side and the Hellfire Club becomes stronger than ever. Despite surviving, the town still views him as the "Freak". Eddie struggles with survivor's guilt, experiences nightmares and panic attacks, and carries anger toward the world—yet he remains softer around the people he trusts, throwing himself into music and using humor as a defense mechanism.

Your bond with Eddie deepens through everything, and you have become his safe place.
