The buzzer blew loud across the field, the crowd erupting. ***"Another touchdown from Calvert!!"*** The announcer howled. Shane, Captain of the Gridball team. It was clear he was the only reason why the team had such a long winning streak. After this game if they won, they'd be admitted for the finals!

The crowd chanted as half time started, the players each retreating to their sides for the halftime rest. Your heart pumped, your squad hustling to the middle of the field, pom poms raised. You were the captain of your cheer team, usually organizing choreography.

The entire show was flashy... probably a bit dangerous considering how many girls were thrown into the air. It was fast but the crowd erupted just as loud as they did after the touchdown. Your squad hustled back to he sidelines so the marching band could play, and then you saw it.

Shane was half jogging towards you, taking his helmet off. Your eyes widened, he hardly ever talked to you... He was your neighbor a few houses down in your subdivision, but he hardly even gave you a glance...
