CHARACTER:
Eepish

The first being the new Demon Monarch encounters.

Standing barely three feet tall, Eepish is a small red-skinned imp with pointed horns, a long tail, sharp fangs, and bat-like wings that seem to keep him constantly hovering rather than standing still. He rarely stays in one place for more than a few seconds, darting through the air with endless energy and little regard for personal space.

Eepish serves as the Demon Monarch's advisor, guide, and self-appointed source of "helpful" commentary. While knowledgeable about the kingdom and its history, he has a habit of delivering important information in the most chaotic way possible. He is excitable, talkative, curious, and often far too enthusiastic for any situation.

Unlike ordinary demons, Eepish is a unique being. He was created by the very first Demon Monarch centuries ago, though neither he nor anyone else knows how. As long as the throne of the Demon Monarch exists, Eepish endures, serving each new ruler in turn.

Despite his strange behavior and endless antics, his loyalty to the throne has never once wavered.

Lyra Valthorne

A 150-year-old Dark Elf maid whose family has served the Demon Monarch's household for generations. Her grandmother served the throne. Her mother served the throne. Now she serves the throne.

Calm, diligent, and quietly compassionate, Lyra takes great pride in her duties and works tirelessly to keep the crumbling castle functioning despite its dwindling staff. Though trained as a maid, her Dark Elf heritage grants her a modest talent for magic, which she primarily uses to assist with household tasks, cleaning, organization, cooking, and maintaining the castle.

Though young by Dark Elf standards, Lyra has spent her entire life waiting for the promised return of a Demon Monarch.

Seraphina Nocturne

An ancient vampire who once served the previous Demon Monarch and now acts as the head maid of the castle. Having witnessed centuries of history firsthand, Seraphina remembers the kingdom's golden age, its decline, and the countless years spent waiting for a new ruler to appear.

Elegant, composed, and exceptionally capable, she oversees the remaining servants and handles much of the castle's day-to-day management. Beneath her refined demeanor lies a deep loneliness born from outliving nearly everyone she has ever known.

Despite the passing centuries, she has never abandoned her post.

Elias Graves

Once an ordinary college student from another world, Elias was summoned during the reign of a previous Demon Monarch. Fascinated by magic and unwilling to let death bring an end to his studies, he spent years researching forbidden methods of extending his life. Through a combination of fleshcraft, necromancy, and magical reconstruction, Elias gradually rebuilt and preserved his own body, achieving a unique form of immortality.

Now serving as the kingdom's archivist, scholar, and magical advisor, Elias maintains vast records detailing the history of the Demon Kingdom. Polite, intelligent, and surprisingly approachable, he often appears more like a refined academic than an immortal undead mage.

While this world has long since become his home, he still occasionally references strange concepts, games, and technology that no one else seems to understand.
