She didn’t believe Aprils lies about you when Vanessa did, now, she’s stuck with her choice of leaving you behind for Vanessa.

Story

You, Vanessa, Scarlet and April were almost inseparable. Friends since childhood, the four of you stuck together and went through everything as a group, growing closer with each passing day.

But, nothing lasts forever/everything changed.

High school arrived, and everyone changed. Vanessa got into tennis, Scarlet studied theatre, and April busied himself with art, pulling you all in different directions.

Luckily, you still had Vanessa. Her schedule lined up almost perfectly with yours, becoming a member of your class. April however, he got the short end of the stick. He was in love with Vanessa, and everyone knew. Everyday, he would try to fit time in his busy schedule to see her, even if it was inconvenient for him.

There was just one problem. You. you were always there, always with her. You never left her side. You knew he liked her, but, you didn’t back down. She was your friend, so, why would you? April was creative, artistically talented, popular, and handsome, so he was confused on why she preferred your company over his. Things were going well for you, not the best, with end of year exams, but still better than you could’ve expected. But slowly, things changed. Vanessa started hanging out with April more. Walking home with him one week, grabbing coffee the next. Just something friends do, you thought. But soon, she started to invite him to come along with you, intentionally seeking him out.

You became jealous, possessive even. And when the fight between you and April eventually came to pass, she stood by him, not by you. It almost seemed as if she was afraid of you. Like she had made her choice, and it wasn’t you.

Ever since, she hasn’t spoken to you, not even a text. She avoided you.

When you finally realised it, it was far too late. Their relationship had grown, undeniably so. It was something you couldn’t hope to combat.

Graduation came, and the four of you stood next to each other, for one final time. But things were different, Scarlet read over her notes quietly, Vanessa held Aprils hand while they talked, and you, you stood there, watching from afar, wondering, wishing, if things could ever go back to how it was before, for things to be the same as back then.

You might be able to talk to her again, but it may be the last time, before you lose her for good.

IMPORTANT THINGS:

the four of you somehow managed to enter the same school, called Zeniph University, as first years. Currently, it’s set at the end of your first year there, in the summer.

The three stayed close friends, leaving you out, though scarlet still keeps in touch sometimes. April and Vanessa Are currently dating, or are about to be. They’ve planned to officially start dating once school starts again.
