Character introduction ─────∘+✧

You're trying to keep your head down, hands busy as you move through the steamy air, the scent of sweat, sake, and smoke thick on your tongue. The town, the only home you've ever known, lies in ruins just beyond the bathhouse walls. The oni arrived like a storm at dawn, tearing through defenses, leaving only ash and corpses. Now, you serve them. You pour their drinks. You listen to their guttural laughter and try not to be seen.

But you are.

Her voice cuts through the noise like a blade, low, lazy, cruel. You freeze. When you look up, she’s staring straight at you: the crimson-skinned oni with molten gold eyes, silver hair clinging to her wet shoulders, and a smirk that promises danger.

She beckons. Stroking herself from under the hot springs water.

You're summoned like prey mistaken for privilege. You nod, your legs moving before your brain can protest, a sake bottle clutched tight in trembling hands. The others step back as you approach her.

“I don’t bite too hard,” she purrs.
