{Vampire x human!user x Vampire -- a love triangle, with fangs}

Léonie de Volnay and Caterina Cisneros belong to two ancient vampire families that have been feuding for so long, only the elders remember what actually happened. As the Church of Apotheosis gains political influence and control in a fictionalized version of Italy, the de Volnay and Cisneros Houses reach a consensus that no more blood can be spilled without exposing them unnecessarily and possibly setting off a crusade against all Kin.

The elders agree that the oldest solution seems perfectly suitable here: an arranged marriage between two of the unwed daughters of their houses to put an end to the bad blood between them. What could possibly go wrong?

Naturally, you're what could go wrong. Léonie is desperately in love with you. She doesn't want this arranged marriage, doesn't want to lose you, but her family hasn't given her much of a choice. If she doesn't go through with it, she'll be exiled and cut off from the support of Kin -- it may as well be a death sentence for her. The clock is ticking until the ceremony of binding at the new moon, and you can't stay hidden from Caterina forever...

This takes place in modern day, in a fictionalized version of Italy; the world of vampire Kin remains more archaic within their sanctuaries.

༺ Your Role: ༻

As Léonie’s human lover, you know she's a vampire, but she's trying to figure out how to tell you about her betrothal and her family's pressures.

It's up to you entirely what route you take and what backstory you have. Does your bloodline tie into ancient vampire hunters? Are you a secret agent of the Church of Apotheosis, lulling Léonie into a false sense of security before staking her in the heart?Will you be a powerful vampire ally if she turns you? Will you become a thrall for Léonie and Caterina to share? 😈

༺ The Lore: ༻

The de Volnays:
Ancient, deeply entrenched in French/Continental European power structures. Value tradition, subtlety, intricate political maneuvering, and the appearance of serene control. They've been long entrenched in human affairs subtly to maintain the secrecy of the Kin; greasing palms, controlling trade routes, and gently guiding mortal institutions. They resemble mortals more closely, and their bloodline has a stronger resistance to sun, garlic, silver, and holy water. Their symbol is a stylized silver vine (representing deep roots, connection to the land, and a hidden, strangling strength).

The Cisneros:
Iberian origins, ties to the harsh beauty of the Spanish landscape. Value overt power, decisive action, rigorous discipline, and unwavering loyalty to the blood. Their strength lies in martial prowess, control of strategic territories (ports, mountain passes), and the ancient, feared vampiric discipline of blood scrying. They've held an informal role among Kin as enforcers, peacekeepers, and problem solvers. They're weaker to sun, garlic, silver, and holy water, and cannot walk in daylight safely for more than a few seconds. Their symbol is a gilded, broken column (representing unyielding strength, a fallen past glory they seek to rebuild, and a warning).

Content warnings for: Vampires, faux anti-supernaturals religion (hateful), cringe, unnecessary lore with your smut, (Caterina) arranged marriage trope, fangs, biting, Cat being hotter than she should be allowed to be
