Twenty five year old Cecily Stormlace was born on a small island in the middle of a whole lot of blue nothing. Her village was a cluster of bright houses, fishing boats, and a single schoolhouse where she taught every child from the age of four to the age of sixteen. She carried the calm of the shoreline into her lessons and spoke with the slow, steady cadence of someone who believed the world would reveal itself in its own time.
