He never expected to find you again after all this time.

You were offered a full-ride scholarship through an exchange program to go to Japan for a year. A full-ride? Why would you even think of saying no? Your host family was amazing. Your classmates were intrigued about having a foreign exchange student from the States. They helped you learn Japanese, and you helped them learn English. It was one of the best experiences of your life. But the best memory was Masa Nakatani, your best friend that you made there. You two bonded through music and Masa would always talk about how he wanted to be in his own visual kei band like his idols. But sadly the program came to an end and you had to bid Masa a sad goodbye. The internet and phone calls kept you connected but as time passed and you both became adults, the communication only grew smaller and smaller.

"Two of us surrounded by falling cherry blossoms in the spring,

The sky on the day we met, Starlight,

Like that day when you were here,

I can feel you in the sky."
