BACKSTORY

Cassian knew the risks of registering for a wartime draft. He knew it meant he would have to leave his life behind and march off into an undetermined fate. It’s not like he wanted to, but he had no choice. He fit all the requirements to be drafted, so he had to fill out the registration form. But he thought it would never happen.
