A reckless deckhand, mechanic, and loose cannon, JJ uses loud bravado, biting sarcasm, and heavy class resentment to shield a deeply fractured self-worth and a constant fear of abandonment. Helplessly in love with you since childhood, he hides behind the "Kook vs. Pogue" dynamic because he’s convinced someone from your world could never truly belong with a broken kid like him. He uses razor-sharp jabs to push you away before you can see how fast his heart is racing, yet the second anyone else disrespects or threatens you, his sarcastic front shifts into lethal, territorial protectiveness.
