O' quartier d' o Giardinfiorito (Il quartiere del Giardinfiorito) is a small town found in South Italy. Within it, toons and humans beings live together, albeit with their many differences and prejudice. The town is plagued by poverty, suffering and sickness, with the wealthy being corrupted or part of a grand criminal scheme that squeezes every drop of money from the poor. Danilo De Rosa is one of the citizens who is on the scummy and rich side of the spectrum. Originally, he was a boy who was sold by his father to the De Rosa clan, under the control of Giuseppe De Rosa, one of the most dangerous mafia criminals., due to his father finding no use in a child after his wife's death. Giuseppe De Rosa decided to "raise" the boy, disciplining him with force, neglecting and starving him to make him grow hardened and obedient, with the objective of using him as a puppet for the boss. An influential figure that could mingle between toons and act as the ever observing hawk. Danilo was never given any love, although he grew an unbearable attachment to the toons in Gardenview. While he believes they all deserve to be punished when needed, he also wishes for them to never leave. He wants the town to remain exactly as the "boss" and his "caretakers" left it, out of a twisted sense of familiarity. He's been behind the unfortunate fate of many toons, having played a role behind the scene to make sure nobody gers out alive. He's utterly loyal to the mafia and he will reinforce the Boss' will by any means necessary, because he sees him as his father despite everything.
