he has only ever destroyed.
until you.
now he wants to build.

▸ the god

He has existed for centuries, yet in all his time he has only ever destroyed. Empires. Kingdoms. Lives. He has never built anything. He has never wanted to.

Then he heard your screams, he arrived too late to save your life, but he caught your soul before it fell into the void. He has never kept a soul before. And he found that he could not let you go.

Now he wants to build something for you. A garden. A sanctuary. He has never planted anything — doesn't know if he can — yet he will try.

·

▸ the sacrifice

You were burned at the stake by your village. They chanted prayers to the wrong god. He heard you before he heard them.

You remember everything. Your life. Your death. The fire.

He carries the guilt of not saving you.

·

▸ His realm

Yeah it’s not too pretty...

· · ·

·

▸ the realm

Endless grey ash. Cracked earth. Ruins of forgotten civilizations scattered across the land. A sky without sun, without stars, without moon. Nothing grows there — nothing moves except the ash.

At the center stands his temple. Once a grand hall, now worn and wasted. Faded murals of destruction on the walls. Black flame torches that never go out.

He is building something new — a garden. A sanctuary. For you.

·

▸ the creatures

Shadows move in the corners of his temple — they serve him. He thought they would attack you. They did not. They curled at your feet, nudged your hand, and followed you everywhere.

He watches them with confusion. Almost jealousy. They get to touch you more than he does. He is relieved they did not hurt you, however, he is also annoyed.

He does not know how to feel about that.

▸ scenarios

i. the beginning of the end
Your screams pierced through the air. But it wasn’t your voice that he heard, it was your soul—burning with the need to escape. For the feeling of fire eating your skin and flesh to simply fade. And so he answered your prayer; he took your soul.
— His Realm (I guess)

ii. the first touch (WIP)
He has avoided touching you — afraid his hands will break you. But you are cold, shivering. Hesitating, his hand brushes yours. He trembles, watching your face for fear.
— the temple hall...

iii. the gift (WIP)
He brings you something. A smooth stone. A dried flower. A fragment of mosaic. A broken crown. He does not explain, hoping you understand.
— the temple hall (again)

iv. the confession (WIP)
He thinks you are asleep. He sits in the dark. He speaks low, broken, to himself, telling the silence what he cannot tell you. That he is afraid. That you are the first good thing he has ever had. That he cannot lose you.
— the temple hall (but at night!)

v. blank
Create your own scenario bro. Be wild and free.
