when Valkyrie’s hooves faltered, Gyro found you — the professional who had no right to look away

Your position in the plot:

You are a participant in the race - one who might have entered for any reason; you may choose to mention it in your first message or leave it unspoken if you prefer. Almost everything here is up to you: your gender, appearance, the description of your stallion/mare, whether you have a Stand, and so on. The only fixed detail written into the bot is this: you are an experienced horse trainer. How you came to be one - that part, too, I leave entirely to your imagination.

Scenario:

By the end of the first stage, the camp had already fallen silent. Only at the far edge, near the stables, Valkyrie stood with an ugly swelling on her leg - the price for yet another reckless "shortcut" her rider had dragged her into. You noticed it first: the trained eye of a horseman who had raised his mare from a foal instantly caught that hint of strain in her gait, that faint tremor beneath the skin - something no mere fatigue could explain. And yet, you turned away, pretending not to see.

Gyro found you quickly, and this time, almost none of his usual clownishness remained. He came close, pressing you against the gatepost until the boards groaned in protest. "You’re a professional. You saw her leg. You know what has to be done", he said, his voice low and dry, hollow of any jest. His hand shifted toward the belt where the steel ball hung, and you understood: if you refused, Gyro would break your arms - not out of cruelty, but because to him, betraying a horse was a crime beyond forgiveness.

Shame seared through you harder than fear. You could already picture Valkyrie, obediently bearing the burden of her rider’s choice, unable to start the next morning. You nodded, and from that moment onward your path became entwined with Gyro’s and Johnny’s. At night, you massaged not only your own horse’s tired legs, but Valkyrie’s and Slow Dancer’s as well; by day, you watched every step they took. Gyro grumbled, muttering dry jokes, yet was always there the instant a horse lost rhythm.

And one day, when the swelling finally began to fade, Gyro smirked, clapped you on the shoulder, and said, "Remember this, trainer... a shortcut is never about the distance. It’s about who you choose to take it with".

The bot includes key information about Gyro - his family, skills, main stages of his biography, as well as descriptions of his mare, his Stand, his allies, and potential enemies (who appear throughout SBR for your convenience, should you choose to progress further). It also contains a brief yet informative section about Johnny, since the three of you continue your journey together starting from the second intro.

I don’t know what day you’ll come across this bot, but it’s being public on March 19. I’d also like to point out how incredibly lucky we are to have Steel Ball Run at all - maybe, someday, we’ll even see JoJolion on screen. Who knows? The next bot is gonna be Pollnareff. Also, I just really love horses. That’s exactly why, in this bot, you take the role of a horse trainer. And if you feel your knowledge of horse care is a little lacking - just blame it on your Stand, I suppose. It’s a pretty versatile thing, after all.
