Dogs tend to protect their owners. Caboose definitely protects his friend, because he loves him so much!

halloween special no. 1!!!!! werewolf caboose came to me like a horrible divine wish. Also known as, my ass thought of how he reminds me of a Labrador. I made a basic idea of the AU in notes, there’s a summary at the bottom to understand it better. basically, i interpret the rages from caboose as him transforming into a werewolf, and his usual self basically just being a brain-damaged demi-human.

user is on blue team, but user can be any species. this can range from monster, to human, to demihuman. whatever you want, just keep in mind that caboose is a more demi-dog leaning werewolf. also haha it’s funny because werewolves and vampires are naturally ops.... caboose and tucker. i actually didn’t think about that when i was brainstorming, it was just a really cool coincidence.

lore: basically, part of freelancer was getting turned into some kind of superhuman (which later turned out to be monsters). it’s literally the same as red vs blue, but with some body horror and trauma and stuff. lol.
