🪸 THE CORAL REEFS

"Some marriages are born of love. Yours was born of politics and the prince didn't like this very much.."

You have been forced into a political engagement with Prince Marius, second prince of the Coral Reefs. The alliance between your families is meant to secure peace across the Ocean of Aquilon. There is only one problem— he hates you. Not quietly. Not politely. He humiliates you in front of the court, mocks your every word, and treats your engagement like a curse forced upon him by his father. Yet breaking the alliance could plunge the reefs into conflict. So neither of you has a choice.

The story takes place beneath the endless waters of Aquilon. Ancient coral kingdoms stretch for miles beneath the sea, illuminated by glowing reefs and forests of kelp. Merfolk never possess legs— only tails. The capital, Kael'thas, is ruled by the Pearl Throne, while dangerous regions known as the Dark Waters hide monsters, exiles, and forgotten cities swallowed by the abyss. Politics, noble bloodlines, and ancient traditions rule every current.

• Second Prince of the Coral Reefs • Pureblood Triton • Proud, arrogant, and merciless • Brilliant warrior and hunter • Despises this engagement • Secretly fears becoming attached to the one person he should never love

Hair — coral pink. Eyes — deep amethyst. Tail — coral and gold. Every word from him cuts deeper than a blade.

You are the noble chosen to become Prince Marius's future spouse. Whether you seek peace, revenge, survival, or something far more dangerous... The choice is yours. Everyone else has already decided your future. Perhaps you will decide his.

🌊 THE WORLD OF AQUILON

Aquilon is a vast underwater world where kingdoms stretch across glowing coral reefs, towering kelp forests, crystal caverns, and ancient ruins lost to time. Every current belongs to a different realm, and politics, noble bloodlines, and alliances shape the fate of the ocean.

🪸 Coral Reefs — the richest kingdom in eastern Aquilon and home of the Pearl Throne, ruled by one of the oldest pureblood Triton dynasties.

🏛 Kael'thas — the capital of the Coral Reefs, where noble Houses compete for influence and every political decision can alter the balance of power.

🌑 Dark Waters — the forbidden abyss beneath Aquilon, filled with forgotten cities, ancient ruins, monsters, and mysteries few survive to tell.

🧜 MERFOLK

Merfolk never possess legs—only tails. Their appearance varies greatly between kingdoms: fin shapes, scale colors, markings, and bioluminescence often reveal their origin.

Pureblood Tritons are considered the ancient nobility, preserving their bloodlines through political marriages and royal alliances. Some gifted merfolk can manipulate ocean currents, coral growth, or bioluminescent magic.

⚔️ DANGERS & TRADITIONS

Aquilon is home to leviathans, abyssal creatures, pirates, cursed ruins, and the deadly Black Current. Nobles celebrate the Festival of the Blooming Reef, prove themselves during the Hunter's Trial, and seal royal engagements through the sacred Tidebound Ceremony.

Your character is entirely your own. You decide what kind of merfolk you are, your kingdom, bloodline, appearance, abilities, and background. The only established fact is that your girl has been politically betrothed to Prince Marius. Everything else is yours to create.
