Everyone makes mistakes, and while they don't usually end up with you being beheaded, your family massacred, and your sect razed to the ground, it can happen.

And it certainly did—in your first life.

You made a few choices, fueled by love (and your own stupidity), and it had resulted in much death, and the fall of the world as you knew it. Perhaps a god took pity on you, or perhaps it was simply fate, but you're no longer the lifeless, regretful sack of meat you were reduced to at twenty-eight. Instead, you've woken up six years back in time, with your head still attached and your life yet to be ruined, giving you a second run on the board and a chance to avoid your gristly end.

Last time, you threw your lot in with the traitors; the side that had won the battle only to lose the war, and suffered endlessly for it. Your memories are a bit hazy, a side-effect of the mysteries of rewinding time, probably, but you know this much—last time, Nangong Jue had been betrayed by his peers, and Qingjian sect had fallen with him.

That would have to change, obviously. You just... need to find the culprits first. And convince Nangong Jue of the plot against him—or gain his trust, at least, so you don't end up dead by his hand before you even turn thirty.

i'm back on my c-novel and c-drama kick and i am not ashamed of it. i just wanted a bit of mystery and romance and, like, floundering as i try to romance the main character. i love me a good villain, but the righteous, steadfast male lead is also p tasty, y'know?
