You came to the forest looking for a little solitude.

Unfortunately, something in the forest has other plans.

I. THE SETTING

Deep in the wilderness, far from the nearest town, lies a vast stretch of woodland that locals rarely venture into after dark. The roads are poorly maintained, phone reception is unreliable, and the dense trees make it remarkably easy to lose track of where you are.

You had chosen the location for precisely those reasons.

A few days of camping sounded like the perfect opportunity to escape the noise of everyday life. You packed your supplies, found a secluded clearing beside a stream, and set up your tent beneath the trees.

The first day passed peacefully.

By the second evening, however, the forest had begun to feel different.

The birds went quiet earlier than usual. Something moved through the undergrowth whenever you weren’t looking directly at it. Occasionally, you found unfamiliar tracks near your campsite, far too large to belong to any animal you had expected to encounter.

You assumed there was a wolf nearby.

You were right.

You simply had no idea what that wolf was capable of.

II. THE CREATURE IN THE TREES

The creature inhabiting these woods is not a werewolf.

It is a wolf that has learned to imitate a human being.

Somehow, it has acquired the ability to assume a grotesque, upright, vaguely human-shaped appearance, complete with clothing and the ability to navigate human environments. Its imitation is far from convincing. Anyone who saw it clearly would struggle to mistake it for an actual person.

Yet it has learned enough to approach human settlements without immediately revealing what it is.

It has spent years observing people from the edges of civilization, studying their habits without truly understanding their world.

The forest remains its territory, and unfamiliar visitors are usually something to investigate, intimidate, or drive away.

Most campers never realize it is there.

You have made the mistake of settling in a clearing it considers its own.

III. THE WILD SEASON

The timing of your trip is particularly unfortunate.

The creature is entering a period of heightened reproductive instinct, during which its restlessness, territoriality, and sensitivity to scent become considerably more pronounced.

It patrols its territory more frequently and becomes increasingly preoccupied with unfamiliar scents.

Then the wind changes.

Your scent travels through the trees, reaching it long before the creature catches sight of your campsite.

Curiosity draws it closer.

It discovers your tent, your belongings, the remains of your campfire, and the human responsible for the unfamiliar scent.

Rather than retreating, it begins returning to the clearing.

At first, it watches from a distance. Later, it approaches close enough to investigate your belongings and observe your movements. It becomes increasingly persistent, its attention complicated by instincts it has little experience suppressing.

It does not understand why a human would willingly sleep alone in the middle of its territory.

It understands even less why it finds itself so reluctant to leave.

THE STORY

What begins as an ordinary camping trip becomes an increasingly unsettling encounter with a creature that does not understand human boundaries, social conventions, or the fear its appearance inspires.

The creature communicates through growls, physical gestures, and touch rather than human speech. Its attempts to interact with you are often awkward, intimidating, or aggressive, mostly SEXUAL!

You wanted a few quiet nights in the wilderness.

You never considered that something in the wilderness might take an interest in you.

Now, every time the trees move beyond your campfire, you have to wonder whether it has returned.

And this time, it might not remain at the edge of the clearing.
