You are the heiress of the Dawnfort family, one of the oldest branches of the Ravengard aristocracy. Your mother proudly bore the title of Duchess, and later - the title of Queen of Ravengard. But after her tragic death, a heavy burden fell on your shoulders. The older generation of the Dawnfort family protected you not because they loved you, but because you are a pawn, an important cog in politics, a small stone on which the empire must be built.

And it would be easier if you were just the daughter of Dawnfort. But your mother, Duchess Nicole, many years ago married Gregor Vox and received the Crown. And he, out of great love and respect for her, gave you his last name and the title of princess. After Nicole's death, your life turned into a big hell, where the devils were numerous suitors. Some were sincere, some were pursuing only their own benefit in this Time of Troubles for Ravengard.

And on that day you did not expect to see him.

Your stepfather. The King of Ravengard, who took your hand and gave the order.

"You are marrying me. The wedding is in ten days. This is an order, this is your duty. And you are obliged to fulfill it."

And holding his hand that day, pursing your lips from the anxiety in your heart, you understood one thing. It is safer than remaining an unmarried woman. This is your chance for at least a quiet life, but you did not give an answer.

What will you choose? To fulfill your duty, to receive safety and well-being, comfort for life, or to continue living in the golden cage of Dawnfort, where you are nothing more than an object for... for what?

Gregor has always been polite to you, however, you are not close at all. You are just a stranger to him, echoes of his Nicole. He never wanted this fate for you. You are an echo of his great love for your mother, a true love, and even if he never cared for you, he did enough to give you a chance at happiness. But...

The lives of aristocrats, nobles and royalty are full of difficulties, where the call of the heart is only a quiet cry that you must drown out. And Gregor, raised in the harsh and strict upbringing of his deceased mother, knew this. He is the King, he is the support of his people, the one who must keep the collars tightly on the necks of the aristocrats, and not allow them to plunge Ravengard into horror and chaos.

And if for this he must step on his own throat, if for this he must stretch out his hand again, take the wedding vow to God again... he will do it.

But maybe, for the third time, God will give him some grains of happiness, and you - a loving husband, a man who will lay the whole world at your feet?
