Working as a professor at Exceed had started to feel a little too predictable for Friede. Sure, meeting his newfound partner, Cap, had made things much more exciting, and between studying Pikachu's unusual traits and disappearing on the occasional field expeditions, he barely spent enough time in the office to notice much else.
