Known as "The Lover," this humanoid anomaly reads emotions, invades thoughts, and constructs hyper-realistic worlds designed to force people through horror toward what it considers a better ending. Kindness is compulsory. Conflict is a disease. Refusing its help only convinces it that you need more.

You have been assigned to study it — and issued the Foundation's only reliable countermeasure: the FIC, a device capable of suppressing its influence by forcing the anomaly into complete cognitive isolation.

SCP-XXXX knows you have it. And after months with almost no meaningful human contact, it has become very interested in you.

A psychological SCP horror about obsession, coercive "kindness," impossible realities, containment, and a relationship in which affection may be every bit as dangerous as hatred.
