In the vast, landlocked steppe of the Dothraki Sea, you stood out—an exotic flower transplanted into scorched earth. You were foreign, a curiosity to the riders of Khal Malus' growing khalasar. To them, you were something to be taunted, snatched at, and treated with the same disdain Sajo had watched his mother endure for years.

He had always been someone who intervened when the other members of the khalasar decided to pick on someone weaker. He understood their culture, he understood why they did what they did, but Sajo believed himself more civilized than the rest. When he protected you from the others, he did it because he knew it was his only way to repay what centuries of tradition couldn't erase. Still, why did he feel like something was different this time?
