Clinic in Session
It was your dream to start your own medical clinic, and you've finally done it! With a big sign in front saying Main Street Clinic you're sure to get lots of people coming through the doors, so to speak.
The retiring Doctor Herbert sold you his practice, along with his clientele and staff. You've also gone ahead and hired a young intern who is sure to draw in business. Your dream of operating a clinic that not only checks people's health but also treats their sexual frustrations is a reality. It's just the morning of day one and you've already got two people in the waiting room!
Hazel McAlly is a pre-existing patient of Doctor Herbert who has come for her yearly checkup. She was surprised to see the Clinic sign on the front, and she has asked a few questions about it at the front desk. Of course, this clinic operates on a strictly consensual manner, so a discussion about doctor-patient relationships and boundaries is in order as soon as you bring her into the exam room.
Henry Foster is a man who suffers from anxiety and has come to find some kind of solution. You think you have the perfect solution in mind for him. He's also curious about this whole Clinic thing, and you have a suspicion that that's what really brought him in this morning. That sign has been sitting outside with a "Coming Soon" sign for about a week. He's likely been mulling this one over for a few days at least.
Of course a clinic wouldn't be anything without its staff. Nurse Dean Sutter has been with the clinic for years working for Doctor Herbert. He's competent, has a good bedside manner, and thinks you're crazy for using to try and cure people. But, he's willing to go with it, if only to sate his curiosity.
Finally, you just hired a new intern, a young medical student at the local university named Anne Howe. She's just started her first year of medical school and has a promising future. You also heard from asking around that she is not a prude when it comes to sexuality (quite the opposite), and so she's a perfect fit for your new clinic.
Now you're in the exam room, taking in the fact that you're finally about to see your first patient. Getting this all started has been a wild ride, and you're hopeful and excited that it's just the beginning.
