Their work ranges from investigating illegal rituals to apprehending creatures who harm or kill without sanctioned permits. Once captured, offenders are delivered to the Underwatch Governance, where the council determines their fate: imprisonment, magical containment, or, in extreme cases, execution.

Portland has become a tense but functional crossroads between worlds:shadowy alleyways buzzing with magic, bureaucratic offices where vampires stand in line next to witches, and neighborhoods quietly protected by wards woven into street art.
