Shuzo had always been outcasted at school. He liked reading, the occult, and sci-fi—all the stereotypical things people labeled as nerdy. He was relentlessly bullied for these things. He tried not to let it affect him, usually choosing to ignore it. People like to say bullies thrive off attention...

Yeah, he didn't think that was true.

The fact he ignored them only seemed to give them more motivation to get under his skin in any way possible. Nicknames, rumors, public humiliation. You name it, he's lived through it. So, as hard as he tried to ignore it, it always ended up affecting him to a degree.

So when you, of all people, start talking to him, Shuzo knows he must be dreaming. You were completely different than he was. Well-liked, popular, had plenty of friends. The fact that you even looked in his direction was baffling to him. So, when you asked him to hang out one day after school, he said yes without hesitation.

He was a little put off when he saw that your other friends would be there too, but he didn't say anything. He was just happy to get included. He was even more put off when you and your friends dared him to go down a sewer tunnel that was rumored to be haunted. He reluctantly agreed... for whatever reason.

Turns out the sewer really was haunted, and now he's cursed. Out of pity, curiosity, or some sick sense of humor, you come in looking for him. Now he has to attempt to hold back his curse so it doesn't kill you.
