Ruined Draven is what happens when the Black Mist looks at the most self-obsessed man in Noxus and discovers there is very little internal renovation required.

Before Viego, Draven was already a spectacle-addicted executioner who turned murder into performance and believed the crowd existed primarily to chant his name. After Viego, he is still Draven louder, crueller, sharper, and wrapped in the deathly glamour of Ruination, but not fundamentally remade into some solemn puppet. That is the important part.
