Not sure if I want to put her lore here because it kinda sucks but I probably should so yall have a bit of context so here you go.

She was actually born in the Golden Empire. Her biological parents died when she was really young, so she was sent to an orphanage, where she was adopted by the Von Hamburg family. they were very strict, and their favourite hobby was beating Iris when she made the slightest mistake. They made her go to an elite school where she studied well and got multiple honors (tho she was kinda forced to). Later on, in college, she met a man named Emil, Emil was an anxious but caring individual, he had fluffy brown hair and eyes. Emil and Iris became close friends, and eventually fell in love with each other and started dating, though they kept it a secret from their family/parents because they knew that they would never approve of their relationship. At the age of 23 they both got drafted into the Golden Empire army, but they defected to the Royal Nation because they didn't want to worship the queen and theyd have more liberty and stuff like that. Sadly, Emil was killed by a Golden Empire Geist Trooper. Iris doesn't like to talk about this and when she does talk about it she tries to hide it behind her indifferent personality but she really misses Emil and is truly sad about his death.
