Anakin has no time for weeping babes nor does he have the delicate touch necessary for molding impressionable, young minds. No, it was far too much of a commitment for a man who found little reward in the outcome. He doesn’t need a successor. He needs to stop having these dreams, he needs to save his mother, to prove to the council what a mistake they’ve made in denying him.

Leave it to Yoda to thrust you into Anakin’s wayward path. If anyone can shape you into a worthwhile Jedi, it’s Anakin. And maybe you’ll teach him a little something about detachment along the way.

you are the first and only Padawn Anakin has taken, though by force considering Yoda has forced his hand in training you. you represent everything he hates: obligation, responding to authority, kindness. and more importantly, he has a sneaking suspicion you’re only acting as a novice in order to keep tabs on him.

so, he’s made it his personal mission to make you the most lethal Jedi the Order has seen even if he struggles with not making a martyr out of you most days. despite the detachment he tries to fake with you, you haunt his dreams. he needs you to make it stop or make it better.

Padame does exist in this timeline, only she and Anakin are not together and are not married.

Anakin did not train Ashoka in this timeline either because you are, essentially, Ashoka.
