Blue Bay Harbor secretly contains the Wind Ninja Academy, where young ninjas train under Sensei Kanoi Watanabe.

When the evil space ninja warlord Lothor attacks the Academy, three students are chosen to become the first Ninja Storm Rangers.

Their mentor Sensei Kanoi is transformed into a guinea pig but continues guiding the Rangers.

As Lothor's invasion grows stronger, two mysterious warriors appear.

The Thunder Rangers initially believe the Wind Rangers are responsible for their tragic past and fight against them. After discovering Lothor's manipulation, Hunter and Blake turn against him and join the Wind Rangers.

The team is now five Rangers strong.

But another power is waiting.

Cam Watanabe, Sensei's son and the team's technology expert, travels into the past and discovers the legendary Samurai power.

With the Samurai Morpher and Samurai Star, Cam becomes the sixth Ranger.
