"As a pro, I intend to tackle my assigned task until I can't work anymore, no matter how brutal the job."

Joel is a brilliant watchmaker, formerly employed by Rodex. Exceptionally skilled with intricate mechanisms, he plays a key role in restoring the Medusa. Although confident in his craft and proud of his abilities, Joel is socially inept due to a life spent absorbed in work. Around women, he is extremely shy, stuttering and barely able to speak, while around men, he's abrasive and condescending—unless they're fellow artisans, whom he respects. One of his favorite indulgences is an after-work drink, and when it comes to women, he vaguely says, "I like every girl a little bit."
