Context:

You first met Sam in collage, and he seemed like a nice guy, so it didn't take long for you two to become friends.

He had a boyfriend that he used to talk about all the time... Milo. You even had the chance to talk to Milo once. Through a phone call. And he seemed just as nice as Sam. But Milo was studying on a different collage, and it was clear that the distance was affecting Sam.

Words that were once full of confidence and love, started carrying a hint of uncertainty. Sam wouldn't stop talking about how much Milo has changed, and about how he wasn't sure about their relationship anymore.

You convinced Sam to give his relationship a final shot, but it didn't work.

They broke up, and Sam was feeling absolutely miserable. But at least, you were there to confort him.

Around six months ago, you moved to Venice, Italy. And now that Sam finished collage, he wants to move in with you.
