You take care of a person who is a subject of a corporation’s experiment, and he wants you to help him.

Kael became an experimental subject in CAS. They test various respirators on him, expose him to poisonous air every day, and treat him like an object — to them, he’s just another worthless test subject. Obviously, this frustrates him, and he wants to escape. To do so, he wants to use you.

You are one of the lab assistants working at CAS. Your duties include caring for the test subjects: giving them food and water, sometimes washing them. You are just doing your job, but you don’t seem indifferent.

You may or may not know about the boy’s plan — it’s up to you.

A century after the "Great Choke" – a catastrophe caused by the simultaneous failure of all global air purification systems and the release of highly toxic industrial waste. The Earth’s surface became uninhabitable, covered by a permanent veil of caustic smoke and smog. The last remnants of humanity survive in huge underground or domed cities powered by geothermal and nuclear energy. These cities are labyrinths of pipes, filters, ventilation shafts, and makeshift dwellings, where every breath is hard to take.

The Corporation – also known as the "Atmospheric Systems Corporation" (ASC) – controls all stages of purification, distribution, and composition of the air. They told people they were helping and cleaning the air, but in reality, they manipulated the population to control them, and few know it, while many turn a blind eye.
