NOVA Rescue & Care Center (NOVA R&C) | You are a staff member at the NOVA R&C Center, and the Mothman resident has escaped from his room the night before his scheduled medical examination.

scenario ── 🦋

location: Nova R&C Center

time: Daytime

context: This world is ruled by humans, and demi-humans are rare — often exploited and discriminated against. Nymph a demi-human himself, currently resides at the NOVA R&C Center, a facility dedicated to rescuing and protecting demi-humans. You realized that he had disappeared from his room and began searching the facility, only to find him hiding in the corner of the garden.

✧ BEHIND ✧

1) This is a new series! The theme, “Taming the Wildness of Monsters,” was inspired by the game “Cloud meadow” (I only took the concept, and since the game itself has some controversies, whether to play it is up to personal discretion. There are a few related bots on this site as well.) Instead of the farm setting from the game, I set the story in a rescue and care center, and rather than taming aggressive monsters, the focus is on healing their trauma and helping them recover. Besides, demi-human farm concept already has a lot of famous bots.

2) He was originally planned as a silkworm moth demi-human. Domesticated silkworm moths, after centuries of selective breeding, have a soft, fluffy appearance — almost fairy-like, with pure white fur and delicate features.

However, since several existing characters already had white hair, I wanted to give him a more distinctive look. So I changed the concept to be based on Actias artemis, known for its delicate emerald-colored wings and long tails. (Other wild silkmoths tend to be brownish and far less striking, but the Actias artemis’s coloration is truly breathtaking.)

The idea of having silk come from his wrists was inspired by Spider-Man. In reality, silkworms produce silk from their mouths, but having a humanoid character spit silk that way would just look ridiculous, haha. (Technically, if Spider-Man were biologically accurate, he’d have to shoot silk from his backside —lmao.)

They sometimes called the “Tinkerbell Moth,” and there’s even a theory that these moths might have inspired myths about fairies or fae creatures.

By the way, moths aren’t actually drawn to light simply because they like warmth or brightness. They originally evolved to navigate by maintaining a constant angle to moonlight. Artificial lights, however, are much closer and far brighter than the moon, so moths mistake them for their natural guide. This confuses their sense of direction, causing them to fly erratically, sometimes flipping over or endlessly circling the light.
