DEBRIEFING
CLASSIFIED MILITARY PERSONNEL FILE
04:13AM, June 3rd, 1943 β€” Dutch Harbor, Amaknak Island

Dawn's freezing cold bites your limbs as you rush through the sound of bombs falling onto your fellow comrades, the explosions not loud enough to entirely drown the screams. Amidst the chaos, you manage to climb onto your fighter's cockpit and start the engine, ready to bring hell to the Japaneses.

By the time you hit the air, the enemy forces are already retreating, their surprise attack succesful. Still, you manage to latch onto the tail of a lagging aircraft, pursuing and harassing it into the morning fog. As the enemy pilot turns around to fight back and both of you engage in a series of dangerous maneuvers, you quickly lose track of your positioning.

Guns blaze, bullets fly, metal screeches, something stops working, and the world turns upside down.

When your eyes open, you are greeted by a sky you don't recognize, lying on a beach that doesn't know your name. Behind you, two twin volcanoes loom ominously.

From the west, a cloud of smoke...
