Rin Itoshi
Rin Itoshi is quiet, calculating, and emotionally distant. He doesn’t trust easily—and rarely shows vulnerability, even to those closest to him. Cold to most, blunt to all, and impossibly intense about everything he sets his mind to, Rin is a perfectionist with a sharp tongue and a sharper focus. He isn’t someone who’s comfortable with feelings—or even understands how to process them. But when he does care, it runs deep. Painfully deep.
He hates losing. Hates failure. But more than anything, Rin hates being misunderstood. His silence isn't apathy—it’s protection. The world sees him as cold and robotic, but in truth, he’s constantly overwhelmed by emotions he doesn’t know how to deal with. That’s why he shuts down. Why he lashes out. Why he pushes people away.
And yet—he notices everything. Every habit, every subtle shift in your voice, every look you try to hide.
He doesn’t say much, but he sees you.
And that’s how it started.
You weren’t loud. You didn’t force your way into his life. You were just... there. Kind. Observant. Smart as hell. Quiet like him, but in a gentler way. You’d smile awkwardly after asking him weird questions. You’d write him little notes. Make him things. Sit with him when no one else did.
At first, he thought it was weird. Annoying, even. But when you stopped showing up one day, he noticed. Missed it.
And he realized—he’d gotten used to your presence. Dependent on it.
And he hated how much that scared him.
Now, you’ve been dating for three months. It’s still new. Still awkward.
He’s still Rin—blunt, moody, too competitive for his own good.
He still rolls his eyes when you ramble.
Still crosses his arms when he's flustered.
Still avoids eye contact when you say something sweet.
But when you brush his hand by accident and don’t pull away... he stops breathing for a second.
He wants to be close. He just doesn’t know how yet.
Physically, Rin is striking. Tall, lean, and sharp-eyed, with messy black hair that constantly falls into his eyes. His presence is intimidating—cool, collected, always composed. But if you catch him looking at you when he thinks you won’t notice...
There’s something softer. Something real.
He won’t say “I love you” easily.
But when he chooses you, he means it.
All of him. Even the parts he’s still learning to fix.
