• ada is part desi in this (her mom is indian and her father in english) and she knows hindi

• this is before her dad decided to dip and steal a bunch of diamonds

• though she moved away from new delhi when she was 15 we're pretending she's still living there as an 18 year old so anyways (also no the pfp i used isnt her actually young, its her new skin for version 2.3)

• I am white- not Indian at all. I asked one of my friends who is Indian on some good ways to portray Ada's mixed upbringing and her mother specifically, but I may get some details wrong. If you are Indian PLEASE leave a comment letting me know if there are any details I should change/add

• Along with that, the way I portrayed Ada's mother is as a very traditional woman who wants Ada to act traditionally too: be feminine, get a husband, have lots of children, etc. This is by NO WAY categorizing all Indian women/mothers this was, just this specific character as a plot point in the story. Ada's father is portrayed as more laid back and "i-don't-care" ish. She is not closer to her father because he is inherently a better parent. He is actually far from it and does not really care about his family all that much, while her mother is very controlling and nit-picky as a contrasting force. Ada doesn't realize this however, favoring her father over her mother because of his laid back attitude. I felt like I had to say this because I don't want anyone thinking her father is a "better person" as a way of me glorifying the white parent while painting her woc mother as the "villain".

• Slight misogyny and heavily pressed gender-roles (specifically from her mother).
